Our Story, Our Team

We are the CenterLine Supersonics, a First Lego League team, and our goal is to help adults and children everywhere learn different things. This year our goal is to help people who struggle with fractions learn them. In this website we will provide many helpful tips and tricks to improve your knowledge, making you smarter with fractions.

The story begins with having a Learning Support Services Teacher come in and teach us the different intelligences. We asked for advice, and tried our best to put that advice into use. After some fun and games, we all found that we each specialized in a certain multiple intelligence. From naturalist to mathematical, interpersonal to intrapersonal, we all have one thing we specialize in. From there, we flew. We all decided to make a website explaining our ideas and goals. After this idea came to mind, we all split into teams to work on this website. We discovered that a good way to learn fractions might be to use the Multiple Intelligence that you learn the best with.

In December 2014, every team that participated in the First Lego League Competition in Windsor, Ontario presented a topic that they were passionate about. Our team chose fractions, and one of the main parts of our presentation was this website. At the competition, we also had to do a robot run, which is where we program our robot to do missions that are required, and a leadership activity that can be quite difficult.

At that competition we won first place. This means that our team, along with four other teams from the Windsor region will be going to compete at another competition in Waterloo, ON in February 2015. Send us a good luck email if you feel up to it!

Some goals we have this year are.....

-Better Teamwork Skills

-Have A Good Robot Run

-Have A Good Project

As a team, we hope you all enjoy our website and find it useful in many ways. On behalf of the whole team, coaches included, we would like to thank you for supporting and enjoying us. Thank-you!
